Antioxidants Impede Free-Radical Damage

December 21, 2005

Many of us wonder what causes the aging signs on our faces
and how we can prevent them. The biggest sign of aging is
called “free-radical” damage and is caused by the presence
of oxygen or any compound that contains an oxygen molecule,
sunlight, and pollution.

The substances that impede or slows free-radical damage are
called “Antioxidants”. They prevent the oxidative action
of molecules. Many of these antioxidants can also
exfoliate the already dead skin cells.

Many vitamins have antioxidant properties, including A, C,
and E as do amino acids coenzymes such as Alpha Lipoic
Acids.

Significant amounts of research have also established Green
Tea and White Tea as possessing potent amounts of
antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties.
